Where is Resurgence Gear from?

Resurgence Gear is a registered Canadian company, dedicated to producing the world’s leading motorcycle gear.

Where is Resurgence Gear made?

We searched for the highest quality garment manufacturing around the globe. We found Pakistan to not only be the best in quality but also the most consistent for our type of product.

Why did you create the Resurgence Gear brand?

Resurgence Gear was created as a result of over 10 years manufacturing protective motorcycle apparel. During this process we started experimenting with fibre combinations to see if it was possible to create a material that did not have the inherent weaknesses of all the materials used to lined jeans and other motorcycle garments.

 

Weaknesses such as the dramatic loss in strength after washing, low abrasion resistance in the wet, lack of breathability, inflexible and uncomfortable. We finally achieved our goal and not only had our fibre eliminated the weaknesses but it also smashed the abrasion rating record, giving us the world’s all round safest protective fibre for abrasion resistance.

 

We branded and patented this fibre as Pekev® and followed by building a protective motorcycle brand around it. That is how and why we created Resurgence Gear, giving the rider a significantly longer slide time during a crash while being vastly more stable and comfortable.

Is Pekev® really the world’s safest motorcycle liner?

Yes, we realise how convoluted the motorcycle apparel industry is with some of our competitors also claiming to have the safest Jeans, Cargo’s, Hoodies and Denim Jackets. Let alone being an untrue statement it makes it extremely confusing to the motorcycle rider looking for the safest clothing. Some of these brands did in fact have the certified highest abrasion rating at some point in time and still market off the back of it.

 

Resurgence Gear’s Pekev® has held the title of the world’s highest abrasion rating for many years now with a 10.83 second, CE level 2 pass from Satra and a 23.20 second pass from TUV. If you’re after the safest Motorcycle Jeans, Cargo’s, Hoodies and Denim Jackets with the longest drag time then you’re at the right place. What amount of protective coverage do your Men’s and Women’s Motorcycle Jeans offer?

In Australasia our full strength Pekev® Jeans cover 80% of the product, from the top all the way to below the knee/top of boot, front and back. These Men’s and Women’s Jeans have no panels like most of our competitors products do.

 

Our Pekev® Lite has 60% coverage, at the back they are lined from top/waist to below the butt/glutes and at the front they are lined from top/waist to below the knee/top of boot. Pekev® Lite also use an ultra light weight liner to compliment it’s perpose – hot riding conditions. This liner has an abrasion pass of 5.21 seconds, CE level 1, compared to the 10.83 seconds, CE level 2 liner used in our 80% coverage jeans.

What amount of protective coverage do your Motorcycle Cargo’s offer?

In Australasia our full strength Pekev® Cargo’s cover 80% of the product, from the top all the way to below the knee/top of boot, front and back. Our Cargo’s have no panels like most of our competitors products do.

What amount of protective coverage do your Motorcycle Hoodies offer?

In Australasia we only sell 100% lined Resurgence Gear Hoodies, some other countries also offer a reduced percentage lined garment in the same brand, but we do not here. We use full strength Pekev® throughout the entire garment to give you the safest Motorcycle Hoodie on the market.

What amount of protective coverage do your Motorcycle Jackets offer?

In Australasia we currently have Denim Jackets with 80% coverage and Rocker Jackets with 100% coverage. Both use full strength to give you the safest protective lined Motorcycle Jackets on the market.

When will I receive my order?

We cannot guarantee shipping time;  however average shipping times are 1-3 “working” days.

How is shipping calculated?

Shipping is currently free of charge.

How can I track my shipment?

You will receive an email notification with your tracking number once your order has shipped. Sometimes the tracking does not show in real time, only pick up and arrival.

What countries do you ship to?

From website we only ship to New Zealand. From our Australian website we ship international for free – www.resurgencegear.com.au

 

My order never arrived, what do I do?

We’re sorry to hear that. If you have not received your item within 6 working days please contact the courier company with your tracking number. You will have received your tracking number via email, if not please contact us for your tracking details sales@resuregncegear.co.nz.

Where do you ship from?

All orders are send from our dispatch centre in central New Zealand.

Can I change my order after I’ve placed it?

Please ensure that all the information is correct for your order at time of purchase. We are unable to make changes to your order once it has been processed.

What is your return policy?

Items may be returned within 20 days from the date of purchase. We can either exchange or refund. If an exchange is requested for a different priced item we will charge or refund the difference.

 

Please note that all garments need to be in original “new” condition – products must still have tags attached, be unworn (other than trying on for size), unwashed and include any and all components.

 

This will be verified by our distribution centre before an exchange or refund is granted. If an item is deemed to be in “unsatisfactory” condition we will not issue any exchange or refund, we can return the original product(s) to you if the delivery fee is paid. Alternatively there is a $50 fee for items returned in new condition with their tags missing and an additional $50 for fee for items returned in new condition but need to have animal hair or small marks removed.

 

When packaging your item to be returned please enclose a note to prevent delays. Include your full name, delivery address, items purchased and date of purchase.

What is your exchange policy?

How do I process an exchange?

If you have complied with the exchange policy above then please email our customer service team: sales@resurgencegear.co.nz and include your name, what the purchased products were and date of purchase. Also inform us what style/size you want to do an exchange for.

Can I send back an order a 2nd time for another exchange?

No unfortunately we do not offer exchanges on exchange orders.

I received the wrong product, what do I do now?

An item is missing from my shipment, what do I do?

What if my size is not available?

If your sizing does not appear, we are currently out of stock. To find out when more will be available please sign up for updates, which is located at the bottom of each websites page. What are my payment options?

You can pay using any credit or debt card via PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to use this service.

How secure is the site?

As we use PayPal there is zero risk involved with using our website. We never see your credit card details as your payment is sent to us via PayPal, giving you 100% peace of mind.

I have received an email about my order being flagged, is this legit?

Can your products be waterproofed?

Some of our products come with the most advanced combination of weather proofing and breathability. Our products with weather shielding will state so in their description. If you would like to add waterproofing to any of our gear there are companies that offer suitable products, Nikwax for example.

Are your products water resistant?

We use the most advanced materials available, if anything is ever created by ourselves or a third party that offers better weatherproofing abilities we upgrade our products. In saying that there is still a tradeoff between waterproofing and breathability so we do not apply this feature to all of our products. Anything we sell that has weatherproofing will state so in the product description.

 

These products are weather resistant for 30 washes, however if you dry-clean you’ll get a lot more cleans than this before degrading the water resistance feature.

Can I wash the clothing?

Unlike Kevlar and other aramids Pekev® is both wash and UV safe, meaning you can wash our products without the strength of the protective fibres weakening with every clean. Wash with normal detergents in cold water and dry in the shade rather than direct sunshine as even though Pekev® is UV safe the sun eventually takes it’s toll on all fibres including cotton/denim.
